Application FAQ's

Login Help

To log in, enter your login email address or Social Security number and Password in the Login box on the home page, and click the Log in button.

If you forgot your password, click the Forgot your password? link and enter either the email address you registered with or your social security number. A password recovery email will then be sent to that address. If you did not enter a contact email address for your profile, you can contact the Associate Service Center at 1-866-789-4748, Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm EST; they will assist you with logging into your application. 

If you do not have an account, you can create one by clicking the link to create a new account. Information on creating a new account is detailed in a following section.

 

Application Questions

Q:  Are they hiring at my local store?

A:  You can check online by going to www.hannaford.com or www.foodlion.com > Scroll down to the bottom of the webpage and click on "Careers">click on view job openings>If you currently work for the company and know your PeopleSoft ID and password select "yes" and login. If you are not an associate or do not know your login please click "no".>Next you will be on the Search open jobs page. To log into your old account, click on "Edit Your Application" on the left-hand side of the page.>Enter the email address and password used when last applied.>Once you log in, you should see the application you previously filled out. You can now edit your application or update your email address and password.

 

Q:  What is the status of my application?

A:  You will need to check in with the location where you applied, the hiring manager will be able to give you an update on the status of your application.

 

Q:  How do I apply for a job?

A:  You can apply online by going to www.hannaford.com or www.foodlion.com > Scroll down to the bottom of the webpage and click on "Careers">click on view job openings>If you currently work for the company and know your PeopleSoft ID and password select "yes" and login. If you are not an associate or do not know your login please click "no".>Next you will be on the Search open jobs page. Fill out the form using the instructions on the Search Open Job page. Once filled out, click "submit">All jobs that are open will show up based off the search criteria that you entered.>If you find a job that interests you, click on the job title to see the description of the position.>to apply, click the "Apply Online" link at the bottom of the job description.

 

Q:  How do I log into my current application?

Q:  I previously worked for Delhaize America, am I eligible for rehire?

A:  Applicants for Food Lion Family should apply via ATS and follow up with the location where they applied. The hiring manager will be able to verify if you are eligible for rehire.

 

Duplicate Record:

Q:  When I try to apply I am receiving a “Duplicate Candidate” error message.  Why can’t I apply?

A:  If you have not previously applied with any of the Delhaize America banners, ensure all required fields have been populated prior to continuing to the next page of the application.  The system does not allow two applicants to use the same email address when applying; therefore, if you share an email address please ensure that you enter your SSN in the email address field for your application to be accepted.  If you are still unable to apply you can contact our Associate Service Center at 1-866-789-4748 Monday- Friday 8:00am-5:00pm EST. 

 

Q:  Can you remove or delete my application so that I can create a new application?

A:  We are unable to completely remove or delete your application from the database. However, below are some things that can be done:

·         If you do not want to seek employment with one of our Delhaize America banners we can remove your application from the hiring manager's view only. To do so you can contact our Associate Service Center by calling 1-866-789-4748 Monday- Friday 8:00am-5:00pm EST.

·         If your information has changed and you wish to apply with the new information, you will need to use the email address and password used when last applied and log into the "Edit Your Application" section. Update any outdated information continuing through each page until all information is current. This will change the application on file used by all interested hiring managers.    

 

Attaching Resume to Profile

In the resume text box on page 1 of profile, copy and paste your resume.

 

To upload resume file (i.e.: Resume, cover letter, awards, or certifications) Complete the following steps:

1.    Click the "Browse" button

2.    Select the file and click the "open" button

3.    Click the "Upload" button

4.    To upload additional files, click browser "Back" button to return to the upload file page and repeat steps 1 through 3

 

Communication

After applying for a position you will receive communication thanking you for applying. You will only receive communication if you use an email address when creating your profile and it will be sent to the email address as listed on the application.

 

Creating a free email account 
If you need an email address to use with the job search agent or elsewhere, there are plenty of free email account providers. You can do a web search for "free email" to find many providers.
